Crows Nest is among the most picturesque parts of The Inland. The Shire starts at Highfields and Cabarlah/Geham just north of Toowoomba (see Toowoomba & district). By continuing up the New England Highway you'll find the special charm of Hampton, Pechey and Crows Nest township itself. Further north is Cooyar and The Palms National Park. Highlight: the village green is the focus for various events including the Worm Races and allied festivities in spring.
